Florida Screen & Shutter is a growing local business specializing in Hurricane Protection, Impact Windows, and Doors for Southwest Florida residents. Our mission is to provide high-quality custom installations that offer both cost savings and peace of mind to our customers.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Professional to join our dynamic team. While experience in construction sales (especially in hurricane shutters, impact windows, or doors) is preferred, we are open to training the right individual. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with prospective customers, understanding their needs, and offering tailored solutions. Strong familiarity with CRM software, technological proficiency, and adaptability are key to success in this role. Additionally, you will be expected to maintain customer accounts and consistently deliver excellent service.
We are looking for someone with a proven track record in sales who is passionate about helping customers find the best solutions for their needs. (Please be prepared to provide your closing rates from past roles during the interview process.)
Responsibilities:
- Regularly update and maintain CRM records.
- Generate new business opportunities while following up on existing leads and setting appointments.
- Revisit old leads and opportunities to convert them into new business.
- Move leads through the sales funnel: convert to appointments, negotiate terms, and close sales.
- Conduct in-person site visits primarily within Lee, Charlotte, and some Collier Counties (company-paid gas).
- Prepare and present proposals to customers on-site using Salesforce.
- Negotiate pricing and terms of sale with customers.
- Close deals and ensure customer satisfaction.
Expectations:
- Meet or exceed the minimum closing rate set by management.
- Spend a minimum of 40 hours per week working in the field or at the office.
- Attend networking events & trade shows, as needed.
- Maintain a positive attitude and hunger for success—uncapped commission means your earnings are directly tied to your efforts.
- Self-motivated and driven: Successful employees thrive with minimal direction. While support, training, and guidance are available, we encourage personal autonomy in achieving goals.
- Follow established sales processes, but we welcome suggestions for improvement.
- Consistent follow-up is essential. Whether it's an email from an owner, manager, or customer, always follow up promptly.
- Perform a minimum of three follow-up touches after submitting proposals to customers.
