The Budget and Fiscal Analyst, under the direction of the Executive Director of Flight Operations, will oversee the creation, development, analysis, implementation, and adaptation of aviation budgetary matters and aviation financial management policy, including the high level reporting analysis of departmental financial plans and interpretation of various financial data as needed. Administer and manage all budgeting functions for aviation's operating and capital budgets and approved projects. Serve as the aviation budget liaison to University Financial Affairs (Budget and Planning Office).
Responsibilities Include:
  • Responsible for the administration, development, maintenance, and coordination of aviation's operating and capital budgets, individual capital projects, and the fiscal administration of procurement and contractual matters related thereto. Oversees assigned budgets and ensures fiscal integrity and compliance with established procedures. Develops and monitors budget data.
  • Works closely with University Budget Office/Financial Affairs to manage aviation expenses, forecast budget spend rates, and track capital project expenses. Using a holistic approach and vision be able to report on the financial health of aviation and its impact on the total university budget.
  • Develops monthly, quarterly forecasts, and annual budget submissions through the analysis of key performance indicators, presentations to aviation and university management through monitoring budget performance, entering data into budgeting software, and looking for ways to improve efficiencies.
  • Conducts financial and data analysis and reporting. Continuously improves data collection and analysis systems.
  • Prepare customized reports and analysis, as needed and participation in the University’s budgeting and financial processes.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements Include:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field (or equivalent knowledge obtained through a combination of education, training and experience)
  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience required in area of expertise

Annual Security & Fire Safety Report
The federal Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act) requires colleges and universities, both public and private, participating in federal student aid programs to disclose campus safety information and impose certain basic requirements for handling incidents of sexual violence and emergency situations.

Florida Tech’s 2024 Annual Security and Fire Safety Report includes statistics for the previous three years concerning reported crimes that occurred on campus, in certain off-campus buildings or property owned or controlled by Florida Tech, and on public property within, or immediately adjacent to and accessible from, the campus.

The numbers provided include crime statistics reported to local law enforcement agencies, campus security and other Campus Security Authorities.

The report also includes institutional policy statements regarding campus safety and security measures, descriptions of prevention and awareness programs, related university procedures and important guidance, and other essential safety information.

Official transcripts of all collegiate work must be sent directly from the attended institution to the Office of Human Resources prior to the first day of employment.
