Administrative Intake Coordinator
As the CEO of a small but growing mental health clinic, I am looking for someone who would naturally bring a cheerful, patient presence on the phone and in person to welcome our new clients and smooth their entry into treatment. Organization, attention to detail, and computer skills are also critically important to your mission since we are an entirely paperless operation. You can be proud of making a huge difference in the lives of our clients and our therapists! We want you physically with us most of the time for the sake of teamwork and communication, but are flexible to allow for some remote work.
Responsibilities:
- Answer the phones in a warm and welcoming manner to facilitate access to mental health care
- Obtain and communicate accurate verification of benefits information to assure smooth financial functioning
- Set up new patient electronic health records correctly
- Troubleshooting insurance claims problems quickly and accurately to ensure customer satisfaction and company income
- Interface professionally with vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and clinical colleagues as needed to provide efficient services
- Implement internal data collection protocols to increase team productivity
- Maintain physical and digital office space documents, filing, and storage to streamline operations
- Monitor & replenish supplies for waiting room, bathrooms, kitchen, and office productivity as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical billing
- Careful faithfulness to client confidentiality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Kind, encouraging, helpful demeanor
- Superb organizational abilities
- Reliable and flexible
- Learns new things quickly and enthusiastically
- Highly tech-savvy
- Extremely detail-oriented, habitually precise, and thorough
- Enjoys effective problem-solving and researching
- Strong Google Drive & spreadsheet skills
Best candidates will have:
- Social work, psychology, or church/ministry background
- Familiarity with Simple Practice electronic health records system and Availity
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
