What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at Flowtec Group?
Our client is a growing General Contractor that has been in business for 15 years. They operate regionally, with multiple offices on the East Coast. They are a veteran owned company, with strong leadership and seek a Senior Project Manager due to continued growth.
This role will report directly to their VP of Operations, and help lead their Michigan market, overseeing multiple projects at a time. They generate $30M/year in revenue, with a strong repeat customer base, focusing on healthcare, federal and government projects valued from $500,000 to $10M.
This role will work throughout Southeastern Michigan and is expected to be on-site 2-3 days/week. They operate on a hybrid basis, with most Project Managers working remote 1-2 days/week, depending on project stage and workload.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction projects from planning to implementation, this role will typically manage between 3-5 projects at a time, in a variety of phases
- Interface with project owners, inspectors, contractors, architects, and engineers
- Negotiates revisions, changes, and additions with owners, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors for changes in scope of work
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
- Communicate regularly with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a construction related field, preferred
- 6 years of commercial GC experience, preferred
- 3 years as a Project Manager, healthcare or federal project experience is preferred
- Familiarity with construction management software, Procore experience is a plus
- Thorough knowledge of submittals, RFI’s, and project close out procedures
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Detail oriented with the ability to multi task
Compensation & Benefit Information
- Salary between $115,000 - $130,000, dependent on experience
- Yearly bonus, discretionary with a 10% average target
