We are looking for a Tag/ Tax Revenue Technician I.
The purpose of this classification is to perform and process documents associated with County taxes, tags, and titles.

The purpose of this classification is to perform and process documents associated with County taxes, tags, and titles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Reviews legal documents associated with requests for tags and titles.
- Calculates taxes and fees; assesses penalties; assesses the value of tractor-trailers and recreational vehicles.
- Prepares/processes tag applications and various supporting documents; determines class of tags for vehicles; issues/validates classes of tags and stamps applications.
- Issues license tags; transfers current tags and prestige tags; issues duplicate tag registration.
- Processes/prepares bulk tag applications from car dealers and companies.
- Greets visitors and callers; responds to their inquiries, and directs them to the appropriate location.
- Receives and processes monies for payment of taxes, fees, fines, and other departmental fees or services.
- Performs data entry functions by keying data into a computer system.
- Maintains inventory of tags and decals; records inventory counts; reports missing or stolen tags/decals.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- One (1) year of experience in clerical/general office work.
- Candidates may qualify with any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
