This position assists and supports others in a department, subdivision, function or project. The position relies primarily on established policies, procedures, and applicable work practices to make decisions as they apply to the job duties and responsibilities. Scope Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on drawings of routine scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities • Prepare basic complexity 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings • Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents for all phases of projects • Develop estimates, schedules, progress reports, and key quantities tracking reports • Provide close interface with other discipline functions • Engage Fluor’s global community, promoting a OneFluor mindset • Incorporate health, safety, and environmental factors in design • Deliver quality work, and adhere to the Operating System Requirements (OSR) • Execute project work in accordance with approved Activity Plans • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices, and procedures, and UNISON Data Standards • Participate in and promote the use of Fluor’s knowledge management portals and communities • Support Functional Process Lead and Department Manager on initiatives • Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and globalstandards • Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed • Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety &Environmental and Sustainability Policies • Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job • May need to travel to attend to business related matters • Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality • Other duties as assigned• A combination of education and directly related experience equal to zero (0) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner • Basic knowledge of 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems and procedures • Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials • Practical field experience • Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programsPiping • Acquire basic knowledge of: o Fluor design guides and Piping technical practices o piping design drawings o Piping and Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) representation, legends and symbols • Prepare and update basic complexity 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) piping drawings• Required to provide of U.S. citizenship.
