Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Program Coordinator to oversee services at our Regional Youth Service Center (RYSC). The Regional Youth Service Center (RYSC) provides early detection, treatment, and recovery support services for youth and young adults (aged12-25) struggling with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring disorders.
This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management and delivery of services that promote the well-being and development of our consumers. The ideal candidate will possess strong supervisory skills, a Master's degree in a human service related field (social work, counseling, psychology) and a valid WV driver's license in good standing. Preference will be given to candidates who have/are seeking licensure as psychologist, LPC, LICSW.
The primary role of the RYSC Coordinator is to oversee the development and delivery of a spectrum of community-based services in a coordinated network across Region 6 (consisting of a partnership between FMRS, Seneca Health Services and Southern Highlands Community Mental Health Center) aimed at supporting area youth by improving their functioning in the home, school and community and to promote recovery and resilience. The Region 6 Regional Youth Service Center (RYSC), a coordinated effort between the three partnering agencies, will provide a variety of treatment and non-treatment options for the target population. The Program Coordinator will lead a team of dedicated clinical staff members in the multiple domains of the mission, RYSC direct operations include, but are not limited to:
A. Outreach and Community Engagement
B. Diagnostics and Assessment
C. Therapy
D. Youth Peer Support
E. Treatment Services
F. First Episode Psychosis
The Program Coordinator will represent FMRS/Region 6 through participation in a network of Youth Service Centers across the state to provide a cross-system, collaborative approach to youth service delivery, thus being an active member of a statewide Behavioral Youth Service Network. RYSC Coordinator will coordinate and promote the following: the center’s services and supports; community activities that promote engagement with youths, young adults, families, and stakeholders; relevant training, education, and community awareness events. The RYSC Coordinator will assist in providing services and supports related to early detection, treatment, and recovery for a portion of this role to increase access and availability of services and build capacity with the goal of working toward operational sustainability.
Skills
- Proven experience in supervising staff within a social work or related field.
- Strong background in program development and management, particularly for individuals with substance use, mental health, or co-occurring disorders.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse populations.
- Knowledge of behavioral health practices is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Requirements
1. Must have a master’s degree in a human service-related field.
2. Previous supervisory experience and training.
3. Must possess a working knowledge of clinical approaches and methods for treatment of substance abuse and mental health disorders.
4. Must possess a valid West Virginia’s driver’s license in good standing and have access to a vehicle.
5. Preferred consideration will be given to candidates who have/are seeking licensure as Psychologist, LPC, LICSW.
