Job Title: Outsourced Assistant Controller / Senior Accountant – Client Accounting Services (CAS) & Tax
Location: Bozeman, MT
Salary: $70,000- $90,000 DOE
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Outsourced Assistant Controller / Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing various financial functions, ensuring accuracy, compliance with regulations, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial insights and supporting data analysis.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Tax Compliance: May jump in and assist the compliance team with tax return preparation.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise, support decision-making, and drive organizational success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2-3 years of experience. Public accounting experience preferred.
- CPA certification is preferred, or CPA eligible. If CPA acquired while working for us, we offer a bonus and celebrate this accomplishment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- QuickBooks Online experience required. Gusto experience a plus.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Compensation:
- You want the sky to be your limit? We offer it. This position range starts at $70,000- $90,000, with the opportunity to build compensation based on book of business growth and organization contribution.
