Position Title: Staff Accountant

Location: Bentonville, AR

Position Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy of financial records, and supporting the organization's financial operations. Key Responsibilities

• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Process invoices, monitor payments, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
• General Ledger Maintenance: Record and reconcile financial transactions, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and accounting principles.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, budget reports, and variance analyses.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts to maintain accurate cash balances.
• Grant Accounting: Track and report on grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with donor requirements and organizational policies.
• Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
• Compliance: Stay updated on financial regulations and ensure the organization's adherence to applicable laws and standards.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Experience: 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment.
• Skills:
• End of month closing experience
• Cash flow experience
• GAAP experience
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with fund accounting and nonprofit financial management.
• Familiarity with grant reporting and compliance.
• Knowledge of international financial transactions and currency exchange.
  
  

Salary: $25 - $30 per hour
