What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Inspector - Aircraft Components position at Fokker Services Americas?
The role & department
This position is responsible for conducting / supervising in-process and final inspections of work performed by this repair station. This person will also be responsible for project work as directed by his/her immediate supervisor and/or executive management.
Your key responsibilities
In this position, your main responsibilities and duties are:
- Responsible to perform / oversee in-process inspections to ensure all work performed is done in accordance with current applicable manufacture specifications and the customer’s request.
- Perform / evaluate inspections of the work at the point of teardown and final assembly.
- Ensures all applicable documentation is completed correctly.
- Performs final inspection and authorizes the return to service of all items processed by the repair station.
- Must be familiar with all SOPs and the Repair Station Manual/ Quality Control Manual
- Must have a working knowledge of: 14 CFR Parts 21, 43, 65, 121 and 145.
- Gather information for reports and warranty summaries for management.
- Perform NDT services as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
What do we ask from you?
The successful applicant would have:
- Airframe and/or Powerplant certificate is preferred.
- Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to pass a visual acuity test (with corrective lenses if needed) and pass a DOT / FAA preemployment drug test.
- This position will be enrolled in the Random Drug / Alcohol testing program.
