Responsibilities
The Lead Mechanical Engineer keeps equipment and facilities in compliance with regulatory standards and in good working order. Repairs and maintenance are performed as needed on building equipment. Assignments may be complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in solving problems and making recommendations.
Examples of Duties include but are not limited to the following:Qualifications
- Possess EPA Universal certification.
- Requires the ability to comprehend HVAC terminology, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and equipment manufacturer’s cut sheets.
- Knowledge of and experience with PLC, BAS and HVAC systems.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the care and maintenance of air-conditioning, heating equipment, and control devices, including instruction in troubleshooting, which includes at least Seven (7) years of paid experience in a trade and Three (3) years at Journeyman level.
