Physical Requirements The combination of physical and mental requirements is necessary for completing the responsibilities, essential functions, and meeting the demands of the role. The employee must have the ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds, climb ladders up to 20 feet tall, and work in extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures. They may also be required to work in dusty or unclean environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety is paramount, necessitating effective communication with colleagues and constant alertness to surroundings. The employee will be frequently required to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks that involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Additionally, the job may require long hours, night shifts, weekend work, and holiday commitments, including extensive travel for weeks at a time. What You’ll Do
- System Testing & Commissioning: Conduct thorough tests on sound, video, and control systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
- Field Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues on-site, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum system reliability.
- Technical Verification: Verify connection labels, configure IP addressable devices, and complete detailed project close-outs.
- Global Outreach: Travel to job sites locally and internationally to support installations, ensuring that every system meets Ford’s rigorous quality standards.
- Customer Collaboration: Work directly with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and ensure a smooth handover of fully commissioned systems.
- Technically Proficient: You have strong troubleshooting skills and hands-on experience with commercial AV systems, including audio, video, and lighting.
- Field Savvy: Comfortable with travel and ready to work in diverse environments, you thrive in roles that require both technical expertise and on-site problem solving.
- Control Systems Expert: Familiarity with control systems and digital signal equipment is key, along with a basic understanding of programming and data networking.
