Elitecare Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced and dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Infection Prevention for a contract position in San Luis Obispo, California. This role is vital for implementing and monitoring infection prevention strategies to ensure patient and staff safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate infection prevention policies and procedures in accordance with current regulations and best practices.
- Conduct surveillance of healthcare-associated infections and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Educate staff, patients, and families on infection prevention practices and protocols.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to promote a culture of safety and infection control within the facility.
- Perform regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
- Provide recommendations for improving infection control practices based on evidence-based guidelines.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on infection prevention preferred.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
