SUPERVISOR III - 15R
I. POSITION OBJECTIVE (State the purpose of this job and reason for existence): The Mechanical Maintenance Planner is intended to produce the highest level of planning, material acquisition, interacting with Operations and maintenance supervisors, ensure availability of adequate man power per planned jobs for safe and expeditious execution of work to meet plant needs. This position is responsible for day to day planning for jobs in the assigned unit and or shop. Familiarity with Microsoft projects is required, Prima Vera desirable. The person applying for the position must have a high school diploma, college degree preferred and be able to use Microsoft office. The selected employee will be trained in the use of our MSA/AS400 WO system. In the absence of the supervisor the selected employee will step-up as a supervisor in the interim period.
II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY (Describe major functions of this job) Reviews WO backlog, plan jobs and ensures availability of material to successfully execute the job. Ensures the work orders are closed with appropriate codes when the job is complete and all spent material is picked up. Responsible for ordering material as needed and coordinates all activities with the affected maintenance supervisor. Produces backlog for management review as and when needed. Reviews, verifies and signs all T&M and B/O time sheets. Prepares detailed write-ups, including justifications, history, accurate and detailed cost estimates and submits for management approval. 1. Attends daily meetings with Operations, and provides schedule for the tasks to be performed the next day. Ensures, the permits required for the job is communicated to Operations. 2. Verifies task lists and initiates purchase requisitions and B/O releases to obtain required materials, tools, equipment and services needed for all maintenance tasks. 3. Coordinates with supervision and ensures quality of jobs with outside vendors, contractors and FPC employees for planned activities to correct deficiencies as noted in PDM reports. 4. Provide services and skills to other plant departments as needed to solve maintenance or operational problems. 5. Ensures material required for the job is on hand and works with contractors to successfully execute all jobs per schedule. 6. Coordinates activities with operations, supervises field personnel when required, directs contractors to man up for all released jobs, monitors job progress, and resolves all issues to ensure that the schedule is upheld. 7. Follow company policies and procedures. Prepares jobs status reports regularly for management or as needed. Update AS400 data on a regular basis. 8. Ensure that paper work is handled per procedure and in a timely manner without any delay. 9. Assist management in the direction and execution of preventative maintenance program when required. 10. Schedules and ensure that all regulatory related tasks are executed, completed, properly closed in the system and documented within allowed time frame. 11. The employee may be on call on weekends and be available to work as needed. 12. Process all invoices in a timely manner
