What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Generalist position at Forney Construction?
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented full-time HR Generalist to join our team and support key human resources functions in a fast-paced boutique construction environment. As a critical member of our team, this position will play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring the smooth execution of HR operations.
SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead full-cycle recruitment, including crafting job postings, sourcing candidates and coordinate interviews.
- On-boarding - Equipment setup, producing and preparing new hire packets, and orientation including office tour, server training and itinerary creation / coordination.
- Benefits management including broker search, annual renewal and plan comparison / evaluation, employee education and assistance using networks, FMLA Leave and disability tracking.
- Affirmative Action Plan - AAP Compliance and reporting.
- Giving – Process internal and external requests as well as update associated spreadsheets.
- Volunteer Events – Coordinate (3) Pay-It-Forward events each year.
- Company Meetings – Work with all departments to gather information and create presentation.
- Manpower breakfast – Coordinate teams to provide breakfast for monthly meetings.
- Culture Committee – Participate on committee to ensure events are taking place as planned.
- Code of Ethics – Update to ensure company preferences / policies are communicated.
- Company email communications : Update company on benefits’ changes / updates, upcoming events, PTO schedules, etc.
- Vehicle Safety Program – Manage program by ensuring employee insurance is current, proof of insurance is on-hand and included on spreadsheet.
- Assist with payroll and maintain employee records.
- Willing to take on miscellaneous projects.
