CNC Lathe Operator and Set UP

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator and set up to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience operating CNC lathes. This role involves precision machining and fabrication of components to meet strict quality standards. The CNC Lathe Operator will work closely with other team members to ensure efficient production processes and high-quality output.

General Responsibilities

• Read and understand drawings and operation sheets including knowledge of GD&T.
• Set up and operate complex, precision machining jobs with minimal supervision.
• Perform first piece in process inspection using standard measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and dial gauges.
• Ensure all standard quality procedures are followed such as machine set-up, operation, inspection, documentation and material handling.
• Utilize the ERP system and document the required in-process inspection dimensions.
• Maintain clean, organized and safe work environment following all safety standards and requirements.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks as required.
• 50 hours a week, 7AM to 5:30 PM

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
• 5 years of CNC turning and or multi axis turning experience set up and troubleshoot.
• Demonstrated skill working in a team environment.
• Must have a positive attitude.
• Experience in aerospace or precision component preferred.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing a plus
• Working knowledge of PC type applications such as Windows and Outlook.
