What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Instructor, Cardiovascular Sonography position at Forsyth Technical Community College?
A Part-time Preceptor of Clinical Instruction, CVS is an extension of the Clinical Coordinator and will provide clinical instruction and supervision. Evaluate students’ clinical competency. Understand sequencing of didactic and clinical education. Understand clinical objectives. Display knowledge of program goals. Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress. Maintain competency in the professional discipline.
Minimum Qualifications
- ARDMS or CCI registration in Adult Echocardiography and or RVT, when applicable.
- Minimum, one year of full-time experience in the field, or equivalent
- Current CPR certification.
- AAS Degree or higher in Cardiovascular Sonography. Note: Degrees and hours must be from a college accredited by a United States Department of Education accepted accrediting agency such as SACSCOC.
- Understand and be committed to the unique nature and role of the Health Sciences programs and the College.

- Assume responsibility for maintaining all required College records including attendance and grade reports, proficiency forms, and student feedback evaluations, etc.
- Assist in grading examinations and student proficiencies.
- Assist in the Student Clearance process for admittance to clinical sites (as allowed by employer/site).
- Assume responsibility for being familiar with and adhering to all policies of the College.

- Maintain current license, certification, or other professional credentials required for position.

- Keep abreast of current technology
