JOB SUMMARY:
Performs professional level implementation, maintenance and analysis of the Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to assign and support FBC in the collection, update and distribution of geographic (digital) information. Participates in planning of programs, policies or objectives for own work group and department.
Responsibilities
- Determines specifications, then plans, designs and develops highly complex and critical GIS software solutions.
- Deploys enterprise GIS applications, and maintains and modifies existing applications.
- Prepares and executes workflows, geoprocessing models and automated routines using Python and Model Builder.
- Proficient in ArcGIS and writing complex queries. Train County GIS users in the different ArcGIS platforms.
- Designs, develops and implements systems and databases for storing and accessing geospatial data.
- Provides support for mapping or GIS component integration into county systems, applications and acquired software.
- Creates applications for use during foreseeable events as well as to be able to produce ad hoc applications for specific events.
- Troubleshoot GIS problems with FBC customers to resolve issues, discrepancies.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Computer Science, GIS/Cartography, Geography, or related field (High school Diploma/GED and 2 years of relevant professional experience in addition to the 2 years required experience may be substituted for the degree requirement).
- 2 years of job related experience including at least one year experience in giving presentations.
- Must be able to give presentations with the ability to explain technical terms plainly.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to deal effectively with the public, other employees, employees in other departments, and elected officials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and organization skills required.
- Experience with Esri Arc GIS Desktop 10.x software suite, ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, Collector, Survey123, ArcGIS Online platform interoperability, and Portal required.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Python and ArcSDE scripting.
- Requires successful CJIS background check prior to hire date.
SALARY RANGE: $34.73 - $43.42 hourly, based upon qualifications

Salary : $35 - $43
