The Facility Manager ensures the safe and efficient operations of all facility departments, including scales, truck loading/unloading, customer service, and housekeeping. This working management role involves leading by example, actively participating in day-to-day operations, and driving success across production, inventory management, daily maintenance, and personnel performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Oversight: Direct all facility operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and success in production, inventory accuracy, and profitability.
- Team Management: Supervise staff, including hiring, training, performance management, and fostering team development.
- Customer Service & Integrity: Ensure exceptional service and accurate material purchases on both ferrous and nonferrous scales.
- Quality Assurance: Verify that outbound materials meet both customer and company specifications.
- Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors while ensuring the facility, yard, and office are clean and organized.
- Equipment Maintenance: Oversee preventative and emergency maintenance of all facility equipment.
- Communication: Collaborate with the sales team to align material pricing and ensure timely shipping of materials.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a metal recycling or industrial environment.
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on management style.
- Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to safety standards and maintaining a clean work environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teams and customers while meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in inventory management and production processes is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
