Foundation Risk Partners, one of the fastest growing insurance brokerage and consulting firms in the US, is adding an Account Specialist to The Warner Companies team in Timonium, MD.
This role is designed to build a strong foundation in employee benefits brokerage and consulting, with a focus on voluntary (employee-paid) benefits. This position is responsible for developing industry knowledge and essential skills to support the Sales and Account Management team in marketing, sales, and servicing a portfolio of client accounts (Book of Business).
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with The Warner Companies Account Manager and assigned clients to ensure seamless service and support.
- Maintain up-to-date client files/internal systems in accordance with TWC's standard protocols.
- Assist with pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation tasks to ensure smooth execution.
- Coordinate data collection for reporting efforts, including analytical and compliance-related reports.
- Participate in training and professional development to enhance industry knowledge and expertise in CSG.
Essential Functions:
Support the Account Management Team throughout the client lifecycle (onboarding, ongoing support, and renewal) across all lines of coverage by:- Gathering necessary data to fulfill obligations, including outreach to carriers and clients to secure required information.
- Assisting with the preparation, analysis, and delivery of reports, exhibits, and presentations.
- Completing assigned implementation tasks for client-related projects.
- Coordinating activities and ensuring the successful completion of a Project
- Plan for each client throughout the year.
- Preparing standard and ad-hoc reports as needed.
- Tracking deliverables and updating the Project Plan to maintain accuracy and timeliness.
- Participating in client meetings and presentations when appropriate.
- Communicate with carriers and vendors on behalf of the client and the team.
Competencies & Qualifications:
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and responsive in managing tasks and client needs
- Highly motivated and eager to learn all aspects of insurance and healthcare-related products.
- Comfortable working with numbers and data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new skills and technologies.
- Effective both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Skilled in relationship-building with clients, colleagues, and industry partners.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong multitasking abilities with the composure and resilience to manage multiple clients and tasks under tight deadlines.
- Basic understanding of insurance and healthcare concepts.
