What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intake Specialist-Rehab position at Samhealth Test account?
Assigned to the outreach team and works in collaboration with MAT Coordinator, Peer Support Specialists and other members of the Clinical Team to ensure that high risk patients are triaged and referred to treatment in a manner that reflects our commitment to trauma informed, evidenced based practices.

- EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Addictions Counseling, Social Work, Counseling or a related field plus one (1) year experience in Alcohol and Drug treatment.
- Five (5) years experience in Alcohol and Drug treatment.
- CADC-R, CADCI or NCACI required within one (1) year of hire. Higher certification (including CADCII, CADCIII, NCACII, MAC and LCPC) preferred.
- Experience in a substance use or addiction treatment setting required.
- Experience with trauma informed, evidence based practices required.
- Documentation of current and continuous abstinence required in accordance with certification requirements of MHACBO in the case of a recovering candidate.
- Healthcare Provider Level BLS required within 30 days of hire.
- Master’s degree in Addictions Counseling, Social Work, Counseling or a related field preferred.
- Experience and / or training in the following preferred :
- Medication Assisted Treatment.
- Recovery support systems.
- Group facilitation.
- Computer applications.
- Bilingual preferred.

- Strong ASAM assessment, placement criteria skills. Knowledge of recovery support systems. Familiarity with Medication Assisted Treatment.
- Strong Computer Skills.

The Community Health Promotion staff work closely with local and regional organizations and coalitions to identify and address community health needs. The staff also represents Samaritan Health Services on local, state and national coalitions that supports the mission, vision, and goals of Samaritan Health Services. The staff oversees, coordinates, supports, implements and reports on federal and state grants within SHS and community partners.
One (1) of the following required :
Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Addiction Studies track (must include successful completion of two (2) internships related to Addiction Studies degree program).
Working in various levels of care including IOP and residential.
Adaptability / Flexibility - Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to situations that may arise with high risk or diverse patient populations. Ability to adjust actions in relation to others and adapt to offer best possible care to patients.
