Position Summary:
Supervises and coordinates activities of employees engaged in the receiving of products, components, and/or replacement parts and in verifying and keeping records on incoming shipments.
Position Responsibilities:
- Analyzes performance of existing shipping and receiving systems, evaluating and recommending new programs to improve distribution methods and implement cost reductions.
- Works with management to establish and modify department operational methods and procedures.
- Directs movement of shipments from receiving platform to storage and work areas.
- Maintains reports, records, and documentation to reflect department activities.
- Compiles records of unfilled orders.
- Prepares bills of lading.
- Prepares records for management and maintains appropriate documentation.
- May hire, train, evaluate employee performance, and recommend or initiate promotions, transfers, and disciplinary action.

Position Qualifications:
Education:
HS graduate or equivalent
Some college/technical training preferred
Experience:
3 years of receiving experience
2 years of supervisory experience
Experience with lean methodologies
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Manufacturing Environment
Lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
Requires walking, standing, bending and lifting for long periods of time
Vision abilities required to validate and enter data on computer
