Job Description: The Assistant Controller will play a crucial role in supporting the Controller in managing Fox Pest Control's accounting operations. This includes overseeing the preparation of financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the general ledger and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
