Job Summary:
Foxconn is seeking a Human Resource Generalist to support all aspects of employee relations, talent acquisition, compliance, and HR processes at our Plainfield, Indiana facility. This role ensures the consistent application of HR policies, fosters a safe and inclusive workplace, and provides high-level service to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be a proactive and strategic partner, driving HR initiatives that enhance workforce engagement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Serve as a trusted HR advisor, assisting management in resolving employee relations matters while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Promote a positive work environment by facilitating conflict resolution, coaching managers, and ensuring fair treatment of employees.
- Stay updated on legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensure HR policies, procedures, and documentation remain compliant.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
- Lead recruitment efforts for skilled, diverse, and qualified candidates whose knowledge, skills, and values align with company needs.
- Ensure consistency in the selection process, partnering with hiring managers to enhance recruitment strategies.
- Manage and facilitate the plant’s onboarding program, ensuring new employees are integrated effectively into the organization.
Training & Development
- Develop and deliver training sessions for managers and supervisors, ensuring consistent treatment and communication of company policies across the site.
- Provide guidance and coaching to leadership to enhance employee engagement and performance.
HR Processes & Benefits Administration
- Assist the HR Manager in continuous improvement initiatives related to HR processes covering the entire employee lifecycle.
- Administer employee benefits, including health, dental, life, disability, FMLA, and 401(k), ensuring employees are informed and supported.
- Facilitate local open enrollment sessions and serve as a resource for benefits-related inquiries.
Payroll & Timekeeping
- Oversee and coordinate the hourly time and attendance program, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Interface with temporary staffing agencies as needed to support workforce planning.
- Serve as a backup for local payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payroll administration.
HR Projects & Initiatives
- Support regional HR initiatives and special projects as assigned, contributing to company-wide HR objectives.
- Drive process improvements and best practices to enhance HR efficiency and employee experience.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2 years of experience in human resources, with a focus on employee relations, talent acquisition, or HR compliance.
- Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations (FMLA, FLSA, ADA, etc.).
- Experience administering benefits programs and payroll processes is a plus.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a strong ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing, or logistics environment with a hands-on approach.
