What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entertainment Marketing & Events Coordinator position at Foxwoods Resort Casino?
Under the direction of the Entertainment Marketing & Events Manager, the incumbent must oversee designated Entertainment retail/ancillary events, including, but not limited to concept development, floor plan designs, ticket sales and planning. Negotiate buying and placing advertising for Entertainment Events to maximize the promotional opportunities and value with all media outlets enabling Foxwoods to communicate its message to the appropriate target audience in the most effective and cost-efficient manner. Must be able to organize new events and revitalize existing events in an effort to create additional revenue streams based on current trends in the market. Associates degree in related field with three (3) years working in marketing, advertising, or entertainment. Experience in social media content development/videography required. Gaming experience preferred. Must have experience constructing financial pro-formas and post-event analysis. Must have a proven track record of negotiating media with Radio, Print, TV and Outdoor with experience planning and buying both print and interactive. Requires strong analytical and negotiation skills and problem-solving abilities. Must keep abreast with changes to the industry to implement them in day to day events. Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail. Must have the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Very strong customer service orientation. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Due to the nature of the business, must be able to work flexible hours as dictated by business needs which can include holidays and weekends.
