What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Special Events Promotions Coordinator position at Foxwoods Resort Casino?
Under the direction of the Special Events Manager, the incumbent plans, organizes and coordinates diverse details involved in the efficient implementation and supervision of all Special Events and Promotions. College degree in events management or related marketing field required or four (4) years of professional event planning experience. Casino promotions and event planning preferred. Must have the ability to use department specific software: Delphi; Meeting Matrix; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Casino Management. Must pass Word and Excel test. Highly efficient in written communication and the crafting of event/promotional fact-sheets, checklists, floor plans, production schedules and event collateral materials such as but not limited to menus, signage, welcome letters and event itineraries. The candidate will be responsible for adherence to event budgets and the financial accountability and recording of post event expenses for all assigned events. Must possess excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Must possess creative design and staging skills in an event field. Must possess excellent communication skills as well as be extremely detail-oriented and organized. Must be able to coordinate multiple tasks and events simultaneously. Self-motivated and excellent time management skills are requirements for this position. Must be extremely flexible with work schedule and able to adapt and change in a fast paced environment. Must be confident and decisive while taking direction from multiple areas of influence.
