Logistics Coordinator (2nd Shift)
Summary: The Logistics Coordinator oversees picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, and administrative functions within the Freezer Division, supervising warehouse clerks and ensuring smooth operational workflow.
Shift Hours:
2nd Shift: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM (or finish)
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the daily shipping workflow and warehouse operations.
Assign tasks and work orders to warehouse associates.
Maintain accurate and timely shipping and receiving schedules.
Dispatch outbound orders and respond to inbound truck communications.
Review and reconcile open and closed sales orders and invoices.
Categorize and track inventory, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
Create, manage, and file essential documentation including sales orders, invoices, productivity reports, and packing lists.
Coordinate transportation providers to ensure timely and efficient shipment deliveries.
Respond effectively to customer inquiries, resolving issues or directing them to appropriate channels.
Review purchase orders and shipping documents thoroughly to ensure accuracy.
Arrange special shipping requirements as needed.
Identify, track, and resolve shipping discrepancies.
Ensure all services provided meet or exceed required quality standards.
Collaborate with the customer service team, warehouse supervisors, and associates to streamline processes and resolve operational challenges.
Assist the operations department with order fulfillment and quality control tasks.
Escalate significant issues promptly to management.
Operate effectively within Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP software.
Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Participate actively in cross-training initiatives and willingly accept additional responsibilities within the logistics team to provide coverage as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements:
Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in logistics, warehousing, or related industry.
High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Effective verbal and written communication, demonstrating professional grammar and spelling.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
