Job Summary
At Franciscan Ministries, we seek a dedicated Wound Care Nurse to oversee the treatment of residents with various wounds and ulcers. This role requires collaboration with physicians to develop effective treatment plans, administering care, and assessing treatment outcomes. The successful candidate will also educate staff on wound care protocols and prepare reports for departmental leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and consult with residents having skin integrity issues
- Collaborate with physicians to create comprehensive treatment plans
- Administer wound care treatments and assess their effectiveness
- Communicate treatment progress and concerns to relevant associates
- Develop and implement wound care protocols at the community
- Provide educational resources for staff on wound care best practices

Requirements
We require an Associate's degree or higher in a clinical or nursing field and a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) license. Additionally, 1 year of experience in a geriatric setting is necessary. The ideal candidate will possess excellent customer service skills and a strong bedside manner.
