The Role You'll Play to Create Success
We are excited to announce our search for an in-house Premium Audit Reviewer! In this role, you will have the opportunity to impact the FrankCrum business everyday by reviewing and analyzing basic Premium Audit reports prepared directly by insured or by internal and external premium auditors.
- Handles the quality and timely review, processing and handling of all audits and disputes for all lines of business and for all states. This includes full term policies, cancellations, short rate, and interim audits.
- Verifies and validates entity, ownership, classifications, applicable state rules and regulations. Also reviews and validates exposure limitations as they apply to individuals, corporate officers or partners and makes corrections as needed.
- Reviews subcontractor exposures. Determines if they are insured or not insured and if charges are appropriate. Also looks for issues regarding the correct status of subcontractors as independent contractors or non-independent contractors. If questions refer them to the district underwriter for review.
- Calculates and bills the final policy premium after the submitted audit has been reviewed and makes referrals to underwriting on pertinent information found during the review process.
- Assists brokers and policyholders with questions concerning audit billings.
- Audits dispute handling which requires the ability to explain regulations and audit rules to insureds and agents in a clear, timely and understandable manner. This would include determining whether the dispute has merit and the appropriate action based on that determination. This would include the completion of the re-audit if needed or assigning to a vendor for completion and notifying the agent and/or policyholder of the results.
- Develops a strong relationship with policyholders, premium audit team, and business segments including Underwriters and Underwriter Assistants.
- Serves as a resource for underwriters concerning such matters as endorsements needed prior to processing and billing audits.
- Assists with Test Audit selection submissions. This would include the completion of re-audits as needed when a chargeable difference is developed as a result of a Test Audit difference.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the individual guidelines of each state and/or region
The Attributes We Seek
Keys to success in this position include a high school diploma or equivalent and two (2) years of experience performing high-volume data entry, and quality review. Understanding of basic math, addition, subtraction, percentages, decimals, division, debits, credits. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and PC knowledge; possess data entry skills, analytical/problem solving skills, knowledge of Windows. Commercial Insurance experience needed.
