Start Date: TBD
Join Our Team as a Dock Supervisor – Lead with Integrity, Spark Joy, and Make Waves!
At Freedom Boat Club of Wilmington, we believe that every great adventure begins with an exceptional team. If you're passionate about leadership, creating outstanding experiences, and delivering top-notch service, then we want you to join us as a Dock Supervisor! In this key role, you'll lead a dynamic team, ensure smooth daily dock operations, and guarantee that every member’s experience on the water is unforgettable. This is more than just a job – it’s an opportunity to embody the values that make us who we are.
What You’ll Do:
Lead with Uncompromising Integrity
As a Dock Supervisor, you will set the tone for your team by leading with uncompromising integrity. You will inspire your team by demonstrating honesty, dependability, and respect in every action. You’ll foster a culture of accountability where everyone owns their mistakes, learns from them, and always strives to make things right. From managing dock schedules to overseeing daily operations, you will uphold the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in everything you do
Spark Joy and Delight for Our Members
Your primary focus will be on sparking joy and delight with our members. You will ensure that every member is treated like a VIP, rolling out the red carpet by anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations. From the 5 Steps of Freedom Excellence Program to the 9-Step Check-In Process, you will ensure every detail of their experience is flawless. If any issues arise, you’ll handle them with grace and professionalism, ensuring a positive resolution. You will also take the initiative to review member feedback, follow up on 4-star or below reviews, and work relentlessly to improve our services.
Take the Helm in Leadership and Staff Development
As a Dock Supervisor, you will lead by example and use the Dock Staff Training Program to ensure that every team member understands their role and consistently meets our high standards. You will empower Assistant Dock Supervisors to hold the staff accountable to our established systems, fostering a collaborative environment where problem-solving is encouraged. Your leadership will be key in coaching and supporting your team to be solution-focused, innovative, and flexible in their approach to any challenges that arise, ensuring that the team remains focused and efficient in delivering exceptional service.
Carry the Cooler – Get the Job Done with a Smile
As a Dock Supervisor, you’ll also embrace the importance of carrying the cooler. Much like the person tasked with hauling the cooler to the beach, you’ll be hands-on in getting the job done, no matter how challenging or time-consuming it may seem. From fueling and cleaning vessels to troubleshooting issues and performing essential maintenance, you’ll tackle the tasks that can be barriers to our members having a smooth experience from start to finish. But no matter what the task, you’ll approach it with a positive, team-oriented mindset, knowing that together, we’re creating something special.

We offer competitive compensation of $20.00 per hour for this full-time position. You’ll work in an environment that thrives on our core values of Uncompromising Integrity, Sparking Joy and Delight, and I Have the Helm.
