Full Job Description
Customer service is a must. Meet and greet every member with a smile and always be of assistance. Arrive at work, check and fuel vessels. Prep all vessels (board vessel, start boat, ensure all system are functional, all safety gear on board vessel, vessel is in proper working order). Assist members and guests on and off boats, assist them with any gear they may have. Complete a thorough checkout via our electronic reservation system on company iPad. Complete a thorough check in/finalization and obtain electronic funds for members fuel consumption. Clean the vessel thoroughly upon return. Answer and field any questions from members via in person or on the phone. Perform light maintenance on vessels to ensure basic safety systems are operational. Our hours are from sunrise to sunset.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Greet members in a friendly, upbeat, courteous and professional manner
- Drive boats between slips and the fuel dock
- Assist members in boarding / un-boarding boats with emphasis on safety
- Check-out members using a handheld computer tablet
- Perform check of equipment on board (Life vests, Anchor, Dock Lines, etc)
- Check-in members returning with boats and swipe credit card for fuel payment
- Familiarize yourself with local waters in order to provide basic chart guidance to members
- Fuel boats at marina fuel dock
- Clean boats and stage equipment for their next outings
- Deep clean boats as needed
- Daily clerical work to prepare reservation log, fuel log and weather reports
- Weekend/Holiday shifts required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Boating experience in and around boats (basic knowledge of how to operate a boat)
- Physical ability to lift / carry up to 30 lbs and board and un-board boats repeatedly
- - Physical ability to clean boats by hand and occasional kneeling or stooping to clean
- Vision adequate to read / manipulate hand held computer tablets in bright sunlight
- Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity
- Highly effective communications skills and friendly customer service is absolutely required
- Must be a self-starter and capable of working unsupervised with a high attention to detail
- Maintain a clean work area
- Control traffic in marina area and assist customers with docking boats
- Always operate with an emphasis on guest hospitality
- Use "clean as you go" method when performing your work duties.
Compensation: Hourly wage plus tips commensurate with experience.

Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
Schedule:
- 4 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekends as needed
