Job Overview

The Quality Support Officer is responsible for a broad range of tasks that support quality assurance and clinical effectiveness in the Trust. They will work closely with the Quality and Effectiveness team to identify and prioritise these activities, supporting high quality patient care.

Main duties of the job

  • Collating external agency visit recommendations to the Trust.
  • Coordination of Leadership walkabouts and reporting.
  • Medical Revalidation.
  • Support for the development and publication of the Quality Account.
  • Contribution to the Trust Greatix (learning from excellence) reporting system.
  • Support for Audit
  • Collating external agency visit recommendations to the Trust.
  • Support to Clinical Boards with evaluation of GIRFT deep dive and national recommendations.
  • Patient Safety Briefings scheduling and evaluation.
  • Support for team with CQUIN schemes.
  • Support for wider team and departmental duties.

  • The Quality Support Officer is responsible for the provision of administrative support to the Quality and Effectiveness team in addition to undertaking a range of delegated duties as agreed, and to contributing to broader activities of the Department.

Qualifications & Education

Essential criteria

  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent level qualification / experience plus previous clerical, secretarial or administrative experience and office organisation skills
  • Word processing or other clerical / computing qualification

Desirable criteria

  • Word processing or other clerical/secretarial/computer qualification

Knowledge & Experience

Essential criteria

  • Literate and numerate
  • Data entry

Desirable criteria

  • NHS experience
  • Awareness of clinical audit methodology
  • Project planning
  • Policy administration

Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • IT skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, Internet

Desirable criteria

  • Health related IT skills
