About This Opportunity

FPA is currently searching for a full-time Structural Project Engineer for our Wall Township, New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in structural engineering.

Core Responsibilities :

  • Perform structural analysis and design for a wide range of projects, including commercial, residential, and infrastructure developments.
  • Develop and prepare detailed construction documents, including drawings and specifications, using Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Conduct site assessments and field investigations to gather data for design and analysis.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive integration of structural components with architectural and MEP designs.
  • Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) during the construction phase.
  • Assist in the preparation of engineering reports, including calculations, design memos, and project documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, etc.).
  • Manage project schedules and budgets, providing updates and communicating with clients and stakeholders.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on technical and professional development.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or EIT with a clear path to licensure.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably within a multidisciplinary consulting environment.
  • Proficient in structural analysis software (e.g., RAM, STAAD Pro, ETABS) and design tools (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Strong knowledge of current building codes and structural design standards.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification processes.
  • Familiarity with advanced modeling techniques and software.
