Job Summary:

The Procurement Manager for Second-Hand Shoes and Accessories will oversee the procurement and management of second-hand footwear and related accessories. This role involves sourcing quality products, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring the availability of inventory that meets company standards and customer demand. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for quality, a strong understanding of market trends, and exceptional negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

·      Identify and evaluate potential suppliers of second-hand shoes and accessories.

·      Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure reliable supply and competitive pricing.

·      Travel extensively to identify and evaluate new suppliers and vendors of second-hand shoes and accessories.

·      Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, delivery schedules, and quality standards.

·      Source and purchase second-hand shoes and accessories based on company needs and inventory levels.

·      Monitor market trends and consumer preferences to make informed purchasing decisions.

·      Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations regarding the procurement of second-hand goods.

·      Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing excess stock.

·      Implement and oversee inventory tracking systems to manage and forecast stock requirements.

·      Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient handling and storage of products.

·      Assess and ensure the quality of second-hand items purchased.

·      Implement inspection processes to verify that products meet company standards before they reach the sales floor.

·      Conduct market research to stay informed about trends in second-hand footwear and accessories.

·      Analyze sales data and customer feedback to adjust purchasing strategies and optimize inventory.

·      Prepare and present reports on procurement activities, inventory levels, and supplier performance.

·      Maintain accurate records of all transactions and agreements.

·      Work closely with other departments such to align purchasing strategies with business goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience in purchasing, supply chain management, or a related role, preferably within the second-hand or retail industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess product quality and understand market trends.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and standards related to second-hand goods.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 80% of the time)
