Internship Summary:
The intern will work directly with the Fresh Start Events Manager to create, organize and produce major fundraising events for Fresh Start. Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Event preparation, event production and post event assignments.
- Assist in the coordination, implementation, and execution of assigned events.
- Assist in management of mailings (save the dates, invitations); coordinate materials for the event programs and other collateral pieces.
- Assist with database management of events, including sponsor and donor lists, registration lists, table, team, etc.
- Attend Fresh Start Men’s Board and Auxiliary Board meetings: Assist in the development of meeting agendas, prepare handouts, send emails for meetings, and maintain attendance records.
- Assist with the execution and development of any third-party events.
- Position Dates and Work Hours will be determined based on applicant’s schedule and the needs of Fresh Start.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Currently enrolled in a university, community college or applicable training program or a recent graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree with a focus on Events Management, Marketing, Nonprofit, or Communications
- Organized and detail oriented
- Good time management and project management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work evening and weekend hours as the position may require
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well within a team environment
