Operations Manager - Manufacturing

The pay range for this position starts at $100,000 - $120,000/annually. This position will be located at our Lancaster, TX facility.     The Operations Manager will manage the overall operations and is responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, and safety measures as established and set for the Operations Department. The experienced operations manager will ensure safe and efficient operations. Serve as a company representative on regulatory issues. Enhance the operational procedure, systems, and principles in the areas of information flow and management, business processes, enhanced management reporting, and look for opportunities to expand systems. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. You will also be responsible for Supervisors and Leads on your shift to help ensure compliance with safety, organizing, monitoring and prioritizing tasks to meet production goals. If that excites you, you’ll be a great fit!   Key Responsibilities   Use data to identify areas where we can improve business decisions. Develop reports and dashboards that will advance daily operations within our nationwide fulfillment centers. Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals. Manage direct reports and their activities. This includes overall performance management; training and development; analyzing and resolving work problems; and discipline. Lead team to achieve goals; promote and demonstrate effective communication and positive culture, etc.   Qualifications   Skills & Requirements: Five (5) years of progressive experience in a key leadership/management role at a manufacturing facility. A Minimum two (2) years of experience in a first-level production management role, preferably in a chilled food environment, within a fast-paced business. Experience working in a fresh food manufacturing environment applying common processes, procedures, and equipment. Experience managing in a chilled food manufacturing business preferred. Experience applying and enforcing routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in a food environment is essential. Maintain fill rate and target on time shipment of 100%. Control and improve the flow of production while maintaining product quality. Proficiency in technical applications like production automation, data entry, and software utilization for accessing project data, budget tracking, and process design. Remove production constraints; allocate human and equipment resources and direct production employees to attain all established goals. Knowledge of large-scale business start-ups is preferred. Experience working in a continuous improvement environment and demonstrated delivery through change. Certified and /or trained in OSHA requirements or expectations, HACCP, SDS, First Aid/CPR, and Food Hygiene Ability to motivate others to work routine and monotonous processes and stand for extended periods of time Must have a good understanding of English, bilingual (Spanish) speaking skills are helpful.
