What are the responsibilities and job description for the Employment Litigation Associate position at Friday Services?
We have an opening in the San Francisco, CA office for an associate in our Labor & Employment Department. The ideal candidate will have five to seven years of relevant experience.
Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of California.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Experience in defending class and PAGA litigation matters. Experience with class and representatives’ actions preferred.
- Strong research, writing skills, and academic record.
- Experience drafting and responding to initial pleadings and discovery.
- Experience drafting and arguing motions, and deposition experience.
- Experience in employment counseling on federal and state employment laws and regulations.
- Trial experience a plus but not required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
Physical Requirements
Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.
Visual Acuity
