Friend to Friend’s Mission:
Friend to Friend in a nonprofit, crisis service agency located in Carthage, North Carolina. Our mission is to help survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking rebuild their lives. We operate an advocacy center, an emergency shelter, and a 24/7 crisis-line. Services we offer include shelter, 24-hour crisis-line, court advocacy, clinical counseling, support groups, hospital accompaniment, community education, and outreach.
This Position:
The position of Grant Program Coordinator (GPC) provides direct services to the advocacy center DV, SA and HT clients. The GPC is responsible for overseeing grant reporting and helping the Executive and Deputy Director with grant writing. The GPC is responsible for managing the general operating and administrative duties at the advocacy center and the agency statistical reporting. The GPC is responsible for ensuring an accurate spend-down and distribution of all grant funds according to the grant contracts and in collaboration with the Friend to Friend accountant. The GPC is responsible for ensuring all grant-contracted purchases are made within the appropriate fiscal year. The GPC works with the Deputy Director and accountant to ensure timely submission of all grant applications and grant reports. The GPC is responsible for all agency recordkeeping, and upkeep of employee files, time sheets, and payroll submission. This position is full-time, 40 hour per week position and reports directly to the Deputy Director.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions for the GRANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR include but are not limited to:
- Work with Deputy Director and accountant to help ensure all grant and grant reporting is submitted on time.
- Prepares all monthly documents required to support the bookkeeper.
- Write reports and grant applications with the Deputy Director and Executive Director
- Help clients fill out protective orders and answer the crisis line as needed.
- Help clients to access community support and referrals to human service agencies.
- Assume responsibility for HR job postings, hirings, onboarding, enrollment in full-time benefit programs, upkeep of employee files.
- Participate in community awareness events/fundraisers, focused on HT and SA events.
- Have an understanding of how nonprofit finances/accounting methods operate.
- Help accountant with the submission of deposits on a weekly basis, following written process for check logging and processing.
- Possess excellent bookkeeping and financial record keeping skills.
- Submit all receipts on tine each week to accountant for credit card and bank reconciliation.
- Labelling all receipts eligible for reimbursement on grants for the bookkeeper.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee timesheets, payroll, wellness days, insurance, IRA enrollment, and vacation/sick time for all F2F employees.
- Submit on time to accountant all completed, signed, and scanned timesheets for payroll.
- Assist with entering of crisis logs and clients into Osnium database.
- Possess excellent facilitation and planning skills.
- Facilitate timely and regular contact between F2F and grant managers.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Abide by all policies and procedures within the Friend to Friend handbook and staff manual.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong writing and project administration skills

- Ability to attend to detail, set and meet goals, adapt and reorder priorities as needed
- Ability to use office information systems and spreadsheets to monitor grants.
- Ability to use spread sheets to monitor client records and document all client interaction via log sheets.

Educational and Training Qualifications:
- Possess knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking and how they affect victims.
- Have training in trauma-victim response.
- Have a two or four-year degree in related field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)

HOURS/SCHEDULE: FULL TIME. 40 hours/week
TRAINING REQUIRED: 20 hours online and 20 hours in-person
COMPENSATION: $17-$19 depending on experience
