What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Frito-Lay North America?
**Experienced Maintenance Mechanic Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and installing pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control valves, centrifugal and positive displacement pumps.
Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC electrical systems, and experience with Programmable Logic Controls. You will also have a deep understanding of preventative maintenance systems and work order tracking.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will work on various equipment within the facility, operate lathes, mills, arc and Heliarc welders for repair and fabrication, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to lift 15 to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and work in an environment with extreme temperatures, humidity, hazardous/loud equipment, and slippery surfaces.
Key responsibilities include:
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical and electrical systems
- Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with other team members to resolve equipment failures and downtime
- Develop and maintain detailed reports and documentation
