Job Description
The Echocardiographer is responsible for performing Transthoracic echocardiograms, setting up and assisting with Transesophageal Echocardiograms, and under the direction of a trained echocardiographer, setting up and performing exercise and Dobutamine Stress Echocardiograms to the standards set forth by the American Society of Echocardiography and Froedtert Hospital.
This individual demonstrates increasing competency in delivery of care to a primarily adult population. Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- RDCS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International or completion of RDCS/RCS requirements within 12 months of employment is required.
- One to three years experience as a cardiac sonographer is required.
Additional Details
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
