The Senior Sales Executive in freight forwarding drives revenue by securing new clients, nurturing existing relationships, and delivering tailored logistics solutions. They manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure, ensuring service excellence and achieving sales targets.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Identify and target prospective clients to expand the customer base.
  • Develop customized logistics solutions for clients based on their specific needs.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets by promoting air, ocean, and multimodal freight services.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate contracts, and close sales deals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular account reviews to ensure client satisfaction and identify upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
  • Address and resolve client issues promptly, ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure timely and accurate execution of freight movements.
  • Monitor shipments and provide proactive updates to clients.
  • Resolve operational challenges, such as delays or discrepancies, by coordinating with carriers and other partners.
  • Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities.
  • Provide input on pricing strategies and service offerings based on market intelligence.
  • Stay updated on international trade regulations, customs compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and contract details in CRM systems.
  • Generate reports on sales performance, revenue, and client feedback for management review.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelors degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in freight forwarding, logistics, or related sales roles.
  • Strong understanding of international freight services, including air, ocean, and ground transportation.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and logistics software.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
