The Operations Coordinator oversees daily operational activities across multiple terminal locations, ensuring effective coordination of shipping labor, production schedules, equipment maintenance, and compliance with company procedures and safety standards. This role requires proactive communication and collaboration between Packaging, Warehousing, Bulk Loading, Transport, and Customer Service departments to maximize efficiency, productivity, and overall operational performance.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Daily review & coordination of shipping labor according to cutoff needs.
- Daily review of rail reports.
- Daily review of packaging schedule and coordination of crews/shifts according to volume.
- Perform random audits to verify thoroughness and accuracy.
- Daily review of production numbers and production reports.
- Collaborate with location supervisors to address maintenance and rail issues to minimize downtime.
- Weekly review of rail mover inspections.
- Conduct weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews of snapshot reports for Charleston Terminals.
- Ensure terminals conduct proper cycle counts and address identified inventory discrepancies or trends.
- Conduct monthly housekeeping and cleanliness audits of terminals and surrounding grounds.
- Monitor aged inventory reports, working proactively to minimize aged inventory.
- Submit bi-weekly asset reports and address any noted issues.
- Conduct monthly review of terminal productivity metrics.
- Monthly review of Operations RFIs.
- Facilitate effective coordination and communication across Packaging, Warehousing, Bulk Loading, Transport, and Customer Service departments.
- Manage employee work hours and PTO.
- Resolve inter-departmental conflicts and address communication challenges.
- Provide technical expertise to functional departments when required.
- Monitor warehouse labor productivity, scheduling hours based on operational volume.
- Weekly review of departmental and individual overtime hours.
- Monitor and update Packaging and Warehouse Shift Schedules as needed.
- Monitor and update terminal PM and Project lists as necessary.
- Weekly review of warehouse utilization reports.
- Ensure adherence to procedures, processes, and safety compliance at all terminals.
- Document disciplinary actions as needed.
- Assist with quality and procedural trainings.
- Work with supervisors regarding hiring and termination decisions of operational staff.
- Provide support in additional areas as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
