Job Summary
- Sushi Chef prepares maki and nigiri sushi for restaurant.
General Responsibilities
- Sushi Chef inspects and clean food preparation areas or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.
- Sushi Chef ensures food is stored at correct temperature.
- Sushi Chef ensures freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.
- Sushi Chef seasons food according to recipes.
- Sushi Chef prepares sushi rolls for customers
- Sushi Chef observes and tests foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
- Sushi Chef washes, peels, cuts, and seeds fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
- Sushi Chef carves and trims meats for hot or cold service.

Job Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: At least one year of related prior experience
