ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment. Performs duties in compliance with safety procedures.
- Ensures appropriate operation of electronic video and audio surveillance systems in order to observe, monitor, and detect casino guests and employees for any unusual activities or violations of the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Reports violations as required, and acts to ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
- Develops department schedules to adequately meet the needs of the business. Performs as back-up to surveillance staff absences and vacancies, as necessary. Reviews and approves time cards.
- Trains, coaches, rewards, and discipline staff. Develops staff to meet and exceed performance expectations by establishing and maintaining positive work morale and effective employee relations.
- Supervises staff directly in surveillance operations and oversees all surveillance operations.
- Attends and participates in casino departmental management meetings and provides clarification and guidance regarding various surveillance issues, goals, and objectives.
- Maintains technical knowledge of surveillance systems through continuous training on component design, repair, and installation, as needed.
- Ensures confidentiality regarding investigations and other Surveillance room activities and duties.
- Communicates with employees through two-way radio communications and ensures prompt responses for security or emergency assistance.
- Maintains surveillance library, and produces surveillance data by date and time upon immediate request.
- Performs duties in compliance with local, state, and federal laws, the Colorado Limited Gaming Act, Internal Control Minimum Procedures, internal policies and procedures, and Colorado Limited Gaming Regulations.
- Performs incident investigations by reviewing and analyzing video. Reports findings to management staff as directed. Works with casino personnel during investigations of incidents, accidents, work related injuries, and thefts to determine a comprehensive “close watch” of any casino activity, guest, or employee when necessary, requested, or required.
- Directs the installation and maintenance of surveillance systems. Moves and/or adds cameras and recording equipment to conform to Colorado Gaming laws. Ensures preventive maintenance on surveillance equipment as needed, including using compressed air to remove dust from equipment.
- Ensures scheduled and unscheduled disc changes are done as required.
- Maintains alertness for the performance of all responsibilities, and prior to taking action, exercises caution and evaluates circumstances for appropriate security or safety response. Keeps their supervisor informed of any concerns.
- Regular and reliable attendance is a fundamental requirement of this position. Employees are expected to be punctual and consistently present during their scheduled work hours to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the business.
- Performs other duties, including special projects, as needed and directed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience performing surveillance operations, preferably within a gaming environment.
- Demonstrated technical knowledge of state-of-the-art electronic video and audio surveillance systems, including hands-on experience performing benchwork level repair and service.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Graduation from High School or equivalent, with additional electronics training preferred.
- Three (3) to five (5) years of recent and related surveillance experience, preferably within a gaming environment.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
- Must have a valid and current State of Colorado Gaming License.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$60,000 annually based on experience
