Pay Rate: $19- $22/hr.

Shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM

TITLE: Shipping Clerk / Inside Sales Admin


PURPOSE:  

This role is responsible for overseeing and leading the Sales Admin function. Additionally the role is to help out on the shipping department, as required, and to keep all records up to date in regards to both production and Shipping / Receiving. Additional responsibility will be to act as the on-site Safety Liaison with our external safety team.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage the Shipping / Receiving email account – promptly responding to inquiries and communicating with truckers / transportation brokers.
  • Manage the online Dock Calendar for pickups and deliveries.
  • Track upcoming projects for finished good shipments and incoming fields.
  • Complete (and file) the applicable shipping paperwork, ensuring that the documentation is complete and 100% accurate.
  • Sending signed BOLs to the appropriate individuals, and highlighting errors (if applicable)
  • Overseeing the Syspro Data Entry for Production, Shipping and Receiving.
  • Work closely with the Production Supervisor to ensure production goals are met.
  • Manage warehouse inventory levels.
  • Oversee, and be responsible for, quarterly inventory counts
  • Manage warehouse, kitchen, and office consumables
  • Perform other administrative tasks, as required.
  • Act as the site Safety Representative, and maintain a safe work environmental and ensure compliance with all of company’s health and safety policies and practices.
  • Participate in the general maintenance of the facility (including cleaning)
  • Willing to step in and help with loading / unloading of trucks, as required.
  • Perform and other tasks requested by his manager, or required by their duties.

Minimum Required:

  • Business diploma/certificate(s)/degree. (Preferred, nor required)
  • Customer Service experience
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office & ERP System).
  • Able to work without supervision.
  • Excellent analytical, trouble-shooting, and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Exceptional work ethic and “lead by example” mentality.
  • Positive demeanor, “can-do” attitude and excellent team player.
