Funtastic Gymnastics in Manteca, CA is looking for one gymnastics coach to join our 12-person strong team. We are located at 1475 Moffat Blvd Ste 7, Manteca, CA.
Our ideal candidate is 18 years old, is a self-starter, loves engaging with children and is looking for a long-term position (at least 2 years).
This is a part-time job that will begin with approximately 15-20 hours per week.

Responsibilities
The role is the pillar or anchor of our program and is responsible for coaching the largest segment of our customers. Accordingly, it requires an increased level of trust and commitment to excellence.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Promotes progress learning and teaches introductory (Tots-Level 1) and eventually, intermediate (Level 2-4) gymnastics skills to students of all ages, abilities, and experience levels.
- Observes athlete development and makes necessary alterations to their training.
- Encourages athletes to give their best effort through physical preparation, encouragement, and feedback on their performance.
- Determines when a student may be ready to advance to higher skill levels or competition teams based on prior experience, aptitude, and attitude toward gymnastics.
- Keeps thorough records of athletes’ attendance and development.
- Assists with coach training.
- Works birthday parties, Open Gym, and other special events.
- Participates in Saturday rotation schedule.
- Participates in facility/equipment cleaning and maintenance, which may include supply management and coordinating cleaning activities of others.
- Creates a good rapport and builds relationships with athletes, parents, and other patrons. For example, communicating with parents with regards to how their child is doing in class, upcoming events, when a promotion is warranted, after trials to encourage enrollment, etc.
- Completes various office related tasks, including but not limited to, enrolling students, taking payments, and answering phones and emails.
- Supports the team by flexing to step in when and where needed.
- Completes continuing education activities to further growth and development.
- Assists or creates Lesson Plans.
- May be required to oversee operations in the absence of management.
- Completes additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be 18 or over.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Gymnastics experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
- Loves working with children.
- Is a team player.
- Enjoys encouraging others.
- Able to stand for extended period of time.
- Able to lift/move gymnastic mats of various weights and sizes.
- Basic computer skills.
