Outside Sales Representative
Location: Old Saybrook, CT - with ability to work remote occasionally and with occasional travel.
Job Summary:
A growing apparel and equipment supplier, is seeking a dynamic Outside Sales Representative with a strong industry background in Workwear to Commercial and Municipal customers. We are looking for a self-starter who thrives in a commission-based sales role with a competitive base pay. This role focuses on working with institutional customers to expand our client base and drive the growth of our new company.
Responsibilities:
- Identify potential clients through market research, networking, and cold calling.
- Present engaging product demonstrations tailored to the needs of prospective customers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales, ensuring a seamless transition from lead to customer.
- Collaborate with the sales management team to strategize on upselling opportunities within existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.
- Represent the company professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in workwear apparel and equipment or related industries.
- Strong skills in lead generation, cold calling, and upselling techniques.
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with a results-driven mindset.
- Familiarity with inside sales processes is a plus.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently in a competitive environment.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to client sites.
