Position Overview
Fusion Transport is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and streamline our AP operations. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payment of vendor invoices, and maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The ideal candidate must have experience working with NetSuite and possess strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the full-cycle accounts payable process, including invoice processing, approvals, and payment execution.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate payment terms, and resolve any invoice discrepancies or disputes.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts payable records, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including procurement and finance, to optimize AP workflows.
- Utilize NetSuite for invoice processing, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze AP reports, aging reports, and cash flow projections.
- Lead, train, and mentor the AP team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Assist with audits, month-end closing activities, and other financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is required.
- Strong understanding of accounts payable best practices, GAAP, and internal controls.
- Experience in the freight, logistics, or transportation industry is a plus.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
