Operations & Manufacturing Systems Manager

FUTURE FOAM, INC. seeks an Operations & Manufacturing Systems Manager in Garland, TX to plan, evaluate, design, and implement production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows and manufacturing processes. Plan and establish sequence of operations to optimize pour lines, fabrication of foam products, shipping & receiving, and transportation and delivery of finished foam products to promote efficient utilization of resources; develop, review and establish foam production/manufacturing processes, sequence for foam production, foam cutting, pour line, and fabrication to promote efficiency, reduce cost and waste, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards, policies, and procedures; set daily production schedules for foam production, cutting line, and fabrication; provide manufacturing decision-making information by analyzing production, labor, and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and estimating future requirements; use data analysis tools like PowerBI and Tableu to analyze and visualize data and make decisions; plan, establish, and review operations sequence to meet and/or exceed occupational safety and health administration (OSHA) standards and ensure proper chemical handling. Plan and devise production schedules, engineering specifications, orders, to optimize production plants manufacturing methods, procedures, and activities; review production costs, cost saving methods, and the effects of product design changes to implement needed to optimize production and operations; use Industrial engineering principles of lean manufacturing and 5S to drive out waste from the process; develop and implement quality control objectives and production procedures and methods to resolve production problems, maximize product reliability, and/or minimize costs. Use statistical process control to improve process capability and improve quality. Review and optimize manufacturing methods, labor utilization standards, and cost analysis systems to promote efficient staff and optimize facility utilization; confer and liaison with clients, vendors, suppliers, and management regarding purchases, raw materials, inventory, product and production specifications, manufacturing capabilities and/or project status; develop budgets and approve expenditures for vendors, suppliers, raw materials and labor to ensure efficiency while achieving production goals; liaison and work with customers to resolve customer complaints, concerns, and issues; direct workers engaged in production, fabrication, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability; analyze performance of workers, develop evaluation metrics, and take appropriate actions to increase efficiency; initiate and implement automation projects both for manufacturing and office processes; provide training and development opportunity to employees at the plant; recommend hiring and firing of employees in the plant; supervise a team consisting of planners, production supervisors, lead shippers, logistic managers, quality/safety facilitators, plant engineers, maintenance technicians, maintenance managers

Minimum Requirements: Masters in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related field of study AND 24 months experience as Industrial Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Operations Engineer or related positions.
