Were seeking an experienced Drone Operations Specialist to enhance aerial data collection, inspections, and site assessments using advanced drone technology. This is a remote position with travel to job sites, client locations, and company operations (up to 40%).
What You'll Do- Drone Operations: Plan and execute drone flights for construction site surveys, inspections, safety assessments, and progress monitoring.
- Data Collection & Insights: Capture high-quality aerial data, process it for actionable insights, and deliver reports to project teams and stakeholders.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure all drone operations comply with FAA Part 107, safety regulations, and industry standards.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize drone hardware and software for maximum efficiency.
- Collaboration & Training: Work with teams and clients to showcase drone capabilities and train staff in safe drone usage.
- Innovation: Explore new drone technologies and strategies to improve project efficiency and safety.
- Education: Bachelor's in Drone Technology, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in drone operations, ideally in construction or industrial environments.
- Certification: FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification.
- Skills: Expertise in drone platforms, photogrammetry, data analysis, and aerial imaging software. Strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.
- Travel: Comfortable with up to 40% travel.
- Experience with GIS/mapping tools or CAD software.
- Background in programming (Python, R) for enhanced data insights.
- Knowledge of drone-based solutions for surveying or inspections.
